Institute for Innovative Family Programs

The Institute for Innovative Family Programs (IIFP) is the professional training component of the Early Childhood Center of Excellence (ECCOE) at Santa Fe Community College.

IIFP provides educational opportunities for early childhood professionals (teachers, home visitors, early interventionists) and parents of children prenatal-5 which support a highly-trained early childhood workforce, confident and attuned parents, and children who thrive. The trainings and classes are offered at low or no cost and are culturally responsive, relevant, and empowering.

CONSTRUYENDO UN FUERTE APEGO: CÍRCULO DE SEGURIDAD PARA MAESTROS

Conozca el enfoque del Círculo de seguridad para que los profesionales de la atención temprana apoyen las relaciones seguras en el aula. Los cuidadores pasarán de los enfoques conductistas al aprendizaje socioemocional observando las formas en que las necesidades de apego se comunican a través del comportamiento de los niños, y luego encontrarán formas afectuosas de ayudar a satisfacer esas necesidades.

BUILDING A STRONG ATTACHMENT: CIRCLE OF SECURITY FOR TEACHERS

Learn about the Circle of Security approach for early care professionals to support secure relationships in the classroom. Caregivers will move from behaviorist approaches to social-emotional learning by looking at the ways attachment needs are communicated through children’s behavior, and then find caring ways to help meet those needs.
